Arxada Unveils New Innovations at ACS 2026

Arxada highlights its latest developments for the paints and coatings industry.

Arxada announces that it will be exhibiting at American Coatings Show 2026 in Indianapolis, IN, USA from May 5-7. The company invites paints and coatings manufacturers to visit Arxada booth #1538 to learn how Arxada delivers innovative solutions that protect our world, and enhance paints & coatings.

A Big LEAP Forward in Paints & Coatings Technology

• 360-degree preservations strategy

“The paints & coatings industry faces numerous challenges,” says Arxada’s Nigel Atkinson, VP – paints & coatings, “from increased product recalls, a diminishing list of approved formulation ingredients to work with, and tightening safety and environmental standards.”

Arxada will be featuring a number of recent innovations and new launches designed to Boldly enhance preservation. Arxada’s innovations center around the company’s 360-degree preservation strategy, wherein contamination control and product protection begin in the manufacturing facility and span shipment, shelf, and application, with enduring protection on the applied film for years to come.

• Contamination control and TMMA

“Protection starts with a robust plant hygiene regimen and microbial monitoring plan,” says Atkinson. “Through our TMMA (‘The Microbial Management Advantage’) consultative plant hygiene service, which includes audits and microbiology laboratory analysis and species identification, we can address contamination root causes and develop a preservation strategy.”

• Something new in the wet-state

“Augmenting this is a novel microbial detection solution,” continues Atkinson.

Arxada is also introducing a new wet-state preservation solution envisioned as a single-SKU option for antibacterial and antifungal control, enabling manufacturers to simplify formulations and still achieve excellent protection against spoilage.

• Polyboost™ multifunctional additive soars

Arxada will also be celebrating the one-year anniversary of Polyboost™ multifunctional additive, which helps formulators achieve stability benchmarks while supporting lower preservative use rates.

“Polyboost™ has taken off with customers in the US and Europe,” says Atkinson. “We’re excited to see the commercial success of this product launch, and want to thank our customers for embracing this new technology and trusting us as their partner in innovation.”

It’s TIME for the Future of Dry-Film Protection

“When we say, ‘It’s TIME for the future of dry-film protection,” says Atkinson, “we’re referring to our Technology for Innovative Micro-Encapsulation.” TIME Controlled Release dry-film preservation technology is the next generation of coatings protection, featuring long-lasting performance and minimized environmental footprint.

Leveraging advanced encapsulation methods, TIME preservatives offer resistance to leaching of the active material into the environment, and deliver excellent real-world performance against a broad spectrum of microbial threats. TIME preservatives can also help to meet global classification and labeling requirements. Arxada will be featuring Polyphase® 763CR broad-spectrum TIME Controlled Release preservative designed for North American customers.

Technical and Regulatory Services

Arxada will also be presenting its comprehensive suite of technical services and regulatory support available to customers globally. The company offers microbiology and application expertise to enable customers to elevate their coating performance and durability.

Arxada’s TMMA program goes a step further, serving as a consultative model with a holistic, life-cycle approach to contamination control and preservation optimization.

Arxada’s regulatory support, according to Atkinson, is also crucial to the success of customers in regulated markets around the world and is staffed by experts with over 100 years of combined experience.

“Our regulatory team is well-versed in the complexities and challenges of a difficult regulatory environment and is in ongoing discussions with customers to help them persevere,” says Atkinson. “Our technical and regulatory teams will be on hand at our stand to help customers understand their options and paths forward for compliance and performance.”
